The organisation was established by Alexey Navalny in 2011. It is financed solely by donations from its supporters. The staff includes 30 people, who research and investigate cases of corruption and illicit enrichment, prepare documents for legal action and appeal to Russia’s Investigative Committee, the Department of Justice and the Public Utility Services.
